  CTTCM. Alfred LeRoy Wyland* b. on Jul 13, 1936 in Hemingford, NE. US Navy. Service Dates 1/1955 - 2/1987. Station at the US Naval Security Station, Washington, DC. Served as a Non-Morse Communication Signals Collection Operator, Signals analyst, Signals Research and Development analyst, Communication Research and Development Division Chief, Naval Operations Division Chief and Division Officer, Master CPO of the Command and Senior Enlisted Advisior (SEA) to Commanding officer. In Feb 1987 he retired as Command Master Chief after 32 years of Cryptologic Service and began employment with The National Security Agency as a Communications Security Systems Analyst. Station at: ROTA, SPAIN, KARAMURSEL, TURKEY, BREMERHAVEN, GERMANY, EDZELL, SCOTLAND and HANZA, OKINAWA. Awards: 8 Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation (3 Awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, The National Defense Medal (2 Awards), Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Medal, Comdt U.S. Coast Guard Letter of Appreciation. Cryptologic Service Award 40 years Cryptologic SVC and Naval Security Group Meritorious Service Award.

  ETCM. John Alvia Wyland* b. on Jan 8, 1938. US Navy. From May 25, 1955 through Aug 1955 completed U.S.N.T.C. at Great Lakes, IL, he was then assigned to the Naval Air Station, Alameda; Mine Division, 112, Long Beach, CA USS Guide. (MSO 446) & USS Implicit (MSO 455). On Dec 31, 1958 he was transferred to the Reserves from Long Beach, CA. On May 31, 1962 he re-enlisted in the Navy in Denver, CO. In Jul 1962 USS Interpreter AGR-14. In Mar 1963 USS Interceptor AGR-8. On Sept 1963 to May 1964 NAVSTA Adak, Alaska. On Jun 1964 to Oct 1964 Nattc Glynco, GA (Student). On Oct 26, 1964 - Mar 31, 1968 US Naval Air Station, Brunswick, ME. On Apr 1968 - Apr 1970 Morocco - US Naval Training Command Kenitra, Morocco. On Apr 23, 1970 - Jul 1, 1973 NATTC, NAS Glynco, GA. In Jul 1973 - May 1975 DUINS ADCOP Program NAS Corpus Christi, TX. In May 1978 - Jun 1, 1979 Navy Supply Corps School Detachment, Fort Gordon, GA. On Jul 1, 1979 he retired from Fort Gordon, GA. Awards: The Navy Achiement Medal, 5 Good Conduct Medal, Battle "E" Ribbon and The National Defense Medal. On Jan 1, 2005 he died in SD. Buried in Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis, SD, Section H Site 820.

  YNSN. John Barney Wyland* b. on May 28, 1966. Service Date: Dec 5, 1984. US Navy. On Nov. 14, 1998 he died in SD. Buried in Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis, SD. Son of John Alvia Wyland.

  RM1. Kenneth Dale Wyland* b. on Jan. 11, 1942 in Alliance, NE. Enlisted on May 27, 1960. US Navy. He was stationed in the Philippines, had a couple of tours in Viet Nam during that conflict and had a couple of tours on the South Pole and lived under the ice. On Dec 21, 1979 he retired at Sockton CA. On Nov. 14, 1998 he died in Hemingford, NE. Buried in Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis, SD.
