William Cary Stevens b. on May 05, 1828 served in Co, I 52nd VA Infantry b. on May 05, 1828 Enlisted on Sept 9, 1861 at Camp Mitchell, Nelson co, Va into Co. K, 49th Va Infantry for 1 year. Present through Dec 1861. Absent Sick Feb 1862 through April 1862. In May 1862 through June 1862 present. On Oct 26, 1863 re-enlisted and received $50 bonus. In Nov 1863 and Dec 1863 reduced to ranks, present. On May 13, 1864 wounded at Spotsylvania CH in Va. Never returned to actived duty.(Brother of Samuel Cole Stevens, George Seaton Stevens, John James Loving Stevens and Charles Henry Stevens)
