William Cary Stevens b. on May 05, 1828 served in Co, I 52nd VA Infantry b. on May 05, 1828 Enlisted on Sept 9, 1861 at Camp Mitchell, Nelson co, Va into Co. K, 49th Va Infantry for 1 year. Present through Dec 1861. Absent Sick Feb 1862 through April 1862. In May 1862 through June 1862 present. On Oct 26, 1863 re-enlisted and received $50 bonus. In Nov 1863 and Dec 1863 reduced to ranks, present. On May 13, 1864 wounded at Spotsylvania CH in Va.
