William Benson Rippetoe b. on Dec 22, 1840 Enlisted on Aug 4, 1862 as a Private. On Aug 6,1862 he was commissioned into 18th Indiana Light Artillery. On Apr 5, 1864 He was promoted to 1st Lieut. On June 30, 1865 He was Mustered Out at Indianapolis, IN. On Jan 25, 1932 he died in Terre Haute, Vigo, IN.
