Towards the end of June, 2001, I made a trip into the South, visiting "Western" Civil War battlefields in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia (See above). I also visited John Pelham's grave in Jacksonville, Alabama. Since I had a short timetable (less than 2 weeks) I was only able to devote one day per Civil War Site (allowing for travel time). Accordingly, the presentation in this section is not comparable to other sites where I have had the ability to visit them more than once. The weather was good at most of the sites and really only impacted the photographs at Lookout Mountain (Fog). As with all sections on this site, as time goes on, I will improve the section by taking additional trips to the locations and by adding sites not addressed presently. On April, 2002, I made another trip into the South, revisited "Western" Civil War battlefields in Tennessee. Later I visited "Western" Civil War battlefields in North Carolina. Lora Koch |
