  MY GREAT-GREAT GRANDFATHER

  Pvt. George Albert Stevens* b. in 1842 Enlisted on Oct 11, 1861 at New York City, Ny as a Private. On Oct 31, 1861 he mustered into Co. M, 5th Ny Cavalry at the age of 19 years old. Transfered from company M to company L. On Nov 2, 1861 He deserted at Camp Scott, Staten Island, NY. Renlisted on May 28, 1862 into Co. I, 13th Regiment, New York Heavy Artillery (State Militia). On Sept 28, 1862 he was mustered out.
