 Airman 1st Class. Robert Coleman Wyland Jr My Uncle b. on Jul 15, 1947 in Richmond, VA. Enlisted on May 5, 1966 in the US Air Force at age of 18 years old. Stationed at Hickam Air Force Base, Honolulu on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii. On Mar 13, 1968 he was discharge at the of 20 years old. He was a Henrico Police Officer in Henrico Co, VA when he was 22 or 23 years old. He was an outstanding police officer. He started out as a dispatcher and when he was old enough, he became a patrolman. He loved the job and was heart broken when he had to retire because of his kidney issues. He was trying to arrest a man and the man fell on him and he had to go for treatment, this is when they found out one of his kidney's was bad and had to be removed. He was only with the PD for a couple years. After he left the PD, he went to work at the Boys Home. On Apr 21, 2006 he died in KY Veterans Hospital at 3:00 am. (son of Robert Coleman Wyland Sr).
