PA KOCHS IN THE UNION ARMY


  Pvt. Adam Koch b. in 1842 Enlisted on Apr 27, 1861 as a Private into Co. C, 15th Pa Infantry at the age of 19. On Aug 8, 1861 he was mustered out at Carlisle, PA. Enrolled at Scranton, Pa.



  Pvt. Adolph Koch Enlisted on Jun 1, 1861 as a Private into Co. D, 27th Pa Infantry. On Sept 15, 1861 he was discharged for disability. Remarks: On S. C. of D.

  Pvt. Alexander Koch b. in 1838 Enlisted on Sept 1, 1862 as a Private into Co. C, 36th PA Infantry. On Sept 6, 1862 He deserted from Camp Munsons Hill, Va.

  Corpl. Alfred Koch b. in 1841 Enlisted on Sept 8, 1862 as a Corporal into Co. H, 2nd Pa Heavy Artillery. On Dec 10, 1864 Promoted to Corporal. On June 23, 1865 He was discharged.

  Pvt. Allen Koch b. in 1844 Enlisted on Aug 15, 1861 as a Private. On Oct 1, 1861 he mustered into Co. I, 48th PA Infantry. On Sept 30, 1864 he was Mustered Out. He was described as: 5'4" light complexion, blue eyes, brown hair. A resident of Reading, Pa.

  Pvt. Ambrose Koch b. in 1844 Enlisted on Mar 15, 1861 as a Private into Co. A, 47th Pa Infantry. On Jan 5, 1864 re-enlisted. On Oct 19, 1864 KIA at Cedar Creek, Va He was described as: 5'8" fair complexion, brown eyes.

  Pvt. Benjamin Koch b. in 1835 Enlisted on Aug 22, 1861 as a Private. On Sept 13, 1861 he mustered into Co. E, 50th PA Infantry. On Jan 1, 1864 re-enlisted. On May 12, 1864 POW at Spotsylvania Court House, Va. He died a POW. He was described as: 5'9" fair complexion, blue eyes light hair.

  Pvt. Bernard Koch b. in 1839 Enlisted on April 29, 1861 as a Private into Co. H, 21st Pa Infantry at the age of 22. On Aug 9, 1861 He was mustered out at Philadelphia, Pa.

  Pvt. Charles A. Koch b. in 1837 Enlisted on Aug 8, 1862 as a Private. On Aug 12, 1862 he mustered into Co. H, 130th Pa Infantry at the age of 25. On May 21, 1863 He was mustered out at Harrisburg, Pa.

  1st Lieut. Charles H. Koch b. in 1842 Enlisted on Oct 5, 1861 as a Corpl into Co. K, 45th Pa Infantry at the age of 19. On Mar 28, 1862 promoted to Sergt. On Jan 2, 1865 promoted to 2nd Lieut. On June 8, 1865 promoted to 1st Lieut. On July 17, 1865 He was mustered out at Alexandria, Va. He was described as: 5'7" fair complexion, brown eyes, black hair.

  Capt. Charles L. Koch b. in Enlisted on Nov 8, 1861 as a Private into Co. D, 176th Pa Infantry. On May 1, 1863 promoted to Capt. On Aug 18, 1863 He was mustered out.

  Pvt. Charles R. Koch b. in Enlisted on Sept 14, 1861 as a Private. On Oct 1, 1861 he mustered into Co. I, 48th Pa Infantry at the age of 22. On Sept 30, 1864 he was mustered out. He was described as: 5'5" light complexion, gray eyes, light hair.

  Pvt. Christian Koch b. in 1823 Enlisted on Dec 17, 1861 as a Private into Co. A, 2nd Pa Heavy Artillery. On Jan 29, 1866 He was Mustered Out at City Point, Va. He was described as: 5'10" light complexion, gray eyes, light hair. Born in Germany.

  Pvt. Christian J. Koch b. in 1837 Enlisted on Jun 7, 1861 as a Private. On July 28, 1861 he mustered into Co. A, 32nd Pa Infantry at the age of 24. On Jun 17, 1864 he was mustered out at Philadelphia, Pa. He was described as: 5'6" light complexion, brown eyes, dark hair.

  Pvt. Daniel Koch b. in 1835 Enlisted on Sept 5, 1862 as a Private. On Sept 11, 1862 he mustered into Co. D, 1st Pa Militia at the age of 27. On Sept 25, 1862 he was mustered out at Harrisburg, Pa.

  Pvt. Edwin Koch Enlisted on Nov 7, 1862 as a Private into Co. B, 176th Pa Infantry. On Feb 22, 1863 He died at Hampton, Va.
