Joseph Lashley Allender b. on May 4, 1831 in Toledo, Lucas, OH. Enlisted on Jun 18, 1861 into Co. E, 6th WI Infantry. On Jun 6, 1865 transferred from company E to Field & Staff and promoted to Hospital Steward. On Jul 15, 1865 He was Mustered Out. On Jul 2, 1892 he died in Matteson, Waupaca, WI.
