John Taliaferro Evans b. Abt. 1835 Enlisted on April 29, 1861 at Buffalo Springs, Va as a Private at the age of 25 years old. On May 29, 1861 he mustered into Co. I, 19th Va Infantry. On June 1, 1862 Wounded at Seven Pines, Va. In Aug 1862 returned. On Sept 1, 1863 he was promoted to 3rd Corpl. On Oct 10, 1864 present through last roll.
