John Thompson Coleman b. in 1845 Virginia Military Institute, Class of 1866. On Jan 30, 1862 he Entered VMI. On July 4, 1863 Resigned because of academic deficiencies. On Aug. 22, 1863 Re-admitted, but had to repeat 4th Class (Freshman) year. Resigned again sometime before 1864. Military Record: No known service. Unofficial source indicates he was incapacitated for military service by an accident. On March 12, 1876 he died.
