Jasper Newton Wyland b. on March 12, 1843 Enlisted on Oct 14, 1861 as a 8th Corpl into Co. M, IA 9th Cavalry at the age of 19 years old. On Feb 15, 1864 promoted to 7th Corpl. On July 9, 1864 He died of disease in Devall's Bluff, AR. Originally buried in Devall's Bluff National Cemetery in AR. Reburied in Little Rock National Cemetery, Little Rock, Pulaski Co, AR.
