MY 2nd GREAT GRANDUNCLES

  Pvt. Edward Franklin Hudson* b. on May 7, 1843. Enlisted on Mar 10, 1862 at Massie Mill, VA into the Rives' Nelson Artillery. On May 16, 1864 Slight shoulder wound at the battle of Drewry's Bluff, VA. On Oct 3, 1906 he died.

  Pvt. Peter Larkin Hudson* b. on Feb 3, 1844. Enlisted on Aug 24, 1861 at Carnifex Ferry, Nicholas Co, WV as a Private into Co. B, 8th Va Cavalry. Sick furlough Nelson Co, VA. On Sept 17, 1864 AWOL. On Oct 1, 1864 retured. On Mar 3, 1865 hospitalized with tumor on the groin in Farmville, VA. Transferred from company B to company D. On Feb 5, 1917 he died.
