Dean Leroy Wyland b. on January 14, 1917. Enlisted on Feb 21, 1942. US Army Air Corps WW2. The B-17 piloted by Walter F. Carnal crashed at Germany on October 14th, 1943, at the small village of Machtilshausen. On Feb 1, 1946 he was discharge. My Cousin was part of the Walter F. Carnal crew that was the first Combat crew of the 379 BG. The plane crashed at Machtilshausen (2 KIA, 8 POW). On August 22, 1995 he died.
