b. on Oct 30, 1838. On July 24, 1861 at Bedford County, Va into Co. I, 58th Va Infantry. On Sept 9, 1861 was promoted to 4th Sergt. On Sept 15, 1861 On rolls. On Feb 28, 1862 Sick at home. On April 30, 1862 was promoted to 3rd Sergt and Returned. On Aug 30, 1862 Wounded in the left lung at 2nd Manassas, Va. On April 30, 1863 Returned. On Aug 13, 1863 He was discharged. On Feb 11, 1891 he died in Bedford Co, Va. Buried in Saunders-Turner Cem., Rt 738, Palestine Bapt. Ch.
