Charles M. C. Jones b. in 1837 Enlisted on March 18, 1861 as a Ensign into Co. E, 1st Ga Infantry at the age of 24 years old. On July 13, 1861 POW at Cheat River Bridge, WV. On July 16, 1861 Paroled at Beverly, WV. On March 4, 1862 He was promoted to Capt, he was discharged for promotion and enlisted into Co. H, 49th Ga Infantry.
