Charles Harvey Harler b. 1831 Enlisted on April 5, 1861 at Cabell County, Va into the Border Rangers Co. E, 8th Va Cavalry. On April 5, 1863 He was at the Skirmish of Mud River in Logan County. On April 13, 1863 He was a POW and was taken to Charleston, then to Morgantown, then on to Camp Chase, Oh. On May 13, 1863 Exchanged at City Point, Va. He was described as 5' 7" tall, blue eyes, dark complexion, and dark hair. After the war He was a Farmer. More info
