  2nd Lieut. William Columbus Coffey* Enlisted on March 20, 1863 at Caldwell County, NC into Co. I, 26th NC Infantry. On Jan 15, 1863 He transferred out and into Co. E, 58th NC Infantry. On April 30, 1862 Promoted to Corpl.

  Pvt. William Montabelle Coffey* b. April 15, 1834 Enlisted on July 10, 1861 at Fairfield, Va at the of 27 years old into Co. B, 52nd Va Infantry. On Sept 28, 1861 He transferred out and into 2nd Rockbridge VA Light Artillery.

  Corporal. William W. Coffey b. Abt. 1834 in NC. Enlisted into Co. D, 26th Tenn Infantry. He was shot in the thigh in battle at Missionary Ridge, TN. On July 11, 1864 he died in Marietta, Georgia.

  Pvt. Wyatt Coffey b. Abt. 1836 Enlisted on Sept 15, 1862 at Richmond, Va into the Amherst Johnson Guard Co. F, 49th Va Infantry. May 30, 1864 Wounded and POW in the Chickahominy area near Richmond, Va.

  Corp. Charles Henry Coleman* b. on Nov 3, 1836 in Buckingham Co, VA. Enlisted on May 24, 1861 at Appomattox Co, VA into Co. H, 2nd VA Cavalry at the of 24 years old. On Jan 15, 1862 Promoted to Priv. On Jun 17, 1863 wounded in his leg in Aldie, VA. On Aug 26, 1863 on horse detail for 14 days. On Dec 13, 1906 he died. Buried in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Rt 615, Appomattox Co, VA.

  Pvt. Charles Henry Coleman b. in 1843 in Appomattox Co, VA. Enlisted as a Private into Co. H, 2nd Va Cavalry. (Postwar roster only record) On July 24, 1945 he died. Buried in the Coleman Cemetery, Rt 608, Appomattox Co, Va. "Died at 101 yrs, 7 mos. The last Confederate Soldier in Appomattox Co. Va".

  Sergt Major. Charles Lloyd Coleman b. in 1842 in Vicksburg, MS. Enlisted on Oct 15, 1861 as a Private into the Morris Va Light Artillery. On Oct 22, 1861 promoted to Sergt. On Jan 9, 1862 promoted to Sergt Major. On May 12, 1862 promoted to Jr. 2nd Lieut. On Sept 17, 1862 horse killed under him at Sharpsburg, MD. On Jan 15, 1863 Furloughed. On Feb 15, 1863 Returned. On Mar 15, 1863 promoted to Sr. 2nd Lieut. On Jan 15, 1864 Furloughed. On March 15, 1864 Detailed. On May 12, 1864 mortally wounded, POW and He died of his wounds at Spotsylvania Court House, VA. "Body never recovered"

  Pvt. Clifton Smith Coleman b. on September 25, 1836 in Appomattox Co, Va. Enlisted on Apr 23, 1861 as a Private into the Co. D, 38th Va Battn Light Artillery. On May 17, 1861 Wounded. On May 20, 1861 He was discharged for disability and apparently reenlisted. On Feb 28, 1863 Detailed. On April 30, 1863 On rolls. On Oct 31, 1864 On rolls. On May 27, 1917 he died. On May 28, 1917 he was buried in Presbyterian Cemetery, Lynchburg, Va.

  Pvt. Drury William Coleman* b. in Apr 1823 in Appomattox Co, VA. Enlisted on May 24, 1861 at Appomattox Co, VA into Co. H, 2nd Va Cavalry. On May 15, 1862 Mustered out. On Sep 6,1863 drafted to Co. H, 2nd Va Cavalry. In 1916 he died in Appomattox Co, VA.

  Pvt. Edward B. Coleman* b. in 1834 in Buckingham Co, Va. Enlisted on Apr 23, 1861 at Farmville, Va into the Co. F, 18th Va Infantry at the age of 27 years old. On Apr 30, 1862 transferred from company F to company H. On June 1, 1862 AWOL. On July 2, 1864 Wounded shot in right knee. On Apr 15, 1865 Paroled at Farmville, Va. In 1906 he died.

  Pvt. Elisha S. Coleman b. on February 05, 1824 in GA. Enlisted on Mar 4, 1862 as a Private into Co. H, 48th Ga Infantry at the age of 36 years old. On June 22, 1864 He was killed at Petersburg, Va.

  Colonel. Henry Eaton Coleman* b. on Jan 5, 1837 in Halifax Co, Va. Virginia Military Institute, Class of 1855. Enlisted on Apr 26, 1861 at Granville County, Nc into the Co. B, 12th Nc Infantry at the age of 24 years old. On Apr 26, 1861 he was promoted to Capt. On May 1, 1862 He was discharged for defeated for reelection. On May 4, 1863 he was commissioned into Field & Staff 12th NC Infantry. On Aug 11, 1863 he was promoted to Colonel. On May 2, 1864 Wounded at Spotsylvania Court House, Va. Aide-de-camp Brig Genl Alfred Iverson's staff. On Dec 30, 1864 Absent wounded. On June 25, 1890 he died in Halifax Co, Va.

  2nd Lieut. Harry Warfield Coleman b. on November 08, 1846 in Vicksburg, MS. Enlisted on Nov 11, 1861 at Centreville, Va into the Morris Va Light Artillery. On Jan 7, 1862 He was discharged at Centreville, Va and transferred from a MS Co. On Apr 15, 1862 he mustered into Co. H, Miles' LA Legion and was promoted to 2nd Lieut. Promoted to 1st Lieut as of Co. H, Miles' Legion. Held as POW there instead of Paroled New Orleans, LA. On July 9, 1863 POW at Port Hudson, LA. On Oct 10, 1863 Confined at Fort Columbus, NY. On Oct 13, 1863 Confined at Johnson's Island, OH. On Mar 21, 1865 Confined at Point Lookout, MD. On Apr 28, 1865 Confined at Fort Delaware, DE. On May 20, 1865 He died of inflamation of the lungs at Fort Delaware, DE. Buried in Princeton, NJ (family grave).

  Lieutenant. Henry Clay Coleman b. on March 25, 1840 Enlisted on July 15, 1861 at at Winchester, Va into Co. A, 13th Va Infantry. On Apr 23, 1863 he was promoted to Corpl. On June 1, 1863 he was promoted to Sergt. On June 9, 1863 Absent, sick. On Aug 15, 1863 Returned. On Nov 24, 1864 he was promoted to Lieutenant. On Apr 9, 1865 He was surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Va. On May 31, 1870 he died.

  Corpl. Henry Frank Coleman b. on April 07, 1843 in Caroline Co, Va. Enlisted on March 5, 1862 as a Private into Co. E, 9th Va Cavalry at the age of 18 years old. On Aug 12, 1862 Exchanged for US Army enlisted men. Later served in the Crenshaw VA Light Artillery. On March 14, 1862 reenlisted at Richmond, Va into Crenshaw VA Light Artillery. On June 27, 1862 Slightly wounded at Gaines' Mill, Va. On Nov 20, 1862 Absent, sick. On Jan 26, 1863 Returned. On May 15, 1864 AWOL for two days. On May 18, 1864 Wounded at Spotsylvania Court House, Va. On Nov 15, 1864 Detailed as a ambulance driver. On Feb 28, 1865 On rolls Detailed as ambulance driver. Buried in Orange County, Va.

  Pvt. James Edward Coleman b. Abt. 1834 Enlisted on Mar 5, 1862 as a Private into Co. E, 9th Va Cavalry. On Sept 15, 1862 Detailed as wagon driver at W. H. F. Lee Headquarters.
